搭配2 below (the) average 在平均水平以下。如：
His school work is below (the) average. 他的學(xué)業(yè)成績(jī)屬中等以下。
The amount of rain this year has been below average. 今年的降雨量低于平均水平。
搭配3 on (the) average
(1) 中等(水平)。如：
His school work is on (the) average. 他的學(xué)業(yè)成績(jī)屬中等水平。
(2) 平均，按平均數(shù)計(jì)算。如：
On (the) average we receive ten letters each day. 我們平均每天收到10封信。
On average, there are five students absent every day. 平均每天有5個(gè)學(xué)生遲到。
注：有時(shí)也說(shuō) on an average。如：
