加拿大留學卡爾頓大學獎學金介紹

    卡爾頓大學對于學術(shù)成績優(yōu)秀的學生提供相當數(shù)量的獎學金和助學金來減少他們大學學習的費用，除此之外，對于經(jīng)濟上有困難的學生，學校還會提供各種形式的貸款來幫助學生順利地完成他們的學業(yè)。2010-2011學年，卡爾頓大學給超過10,500名的本科新生及在校生提供的各類獎助學金價值高達1,580萬加元之多。對于國際留學生學校也提供一定的獎學金項目，但數(shù)量有限。本科生入學時，學校會根據(jù)其學術(shù)及語言的綜合情況自動授予形式多樣的入學獎學金，而沒有獲得入學獎學金的同學，如果第一年的學業(yè)成績達到A-的水平，學校會自動授予In-Course獎學金。完成一年學業(yè)后，對于經(jīng)濟出現(xiàn)困難的同學，學校還提供價值從$500 到 $1,000不等的助學金。此助學金須提前申請。
    本科生：
    卡爾頓大學對本科生的的獎學金項目有：Entrance Scholarships、Prestige Scholarships、Sprott Scholarship for Excellence、Arthur Kroeger College National Scholarships、In-Course Scholarships等等。
    Entrance Scholarships:
    學校對入學平均成績在80%以上的申請者會自動考慮授予Entrance Scholarships。其中2012-2013學年學校提供的Entrance Scholarships的情況可參見下表：

    如果學生的學術(shù)成績保持在A-或以上，學校會在求學的四年間持續(xù)提供該獎學金。有些專業(yè)提供的獎金價值會有所提高。

    上表提供的獎學金項目只要學術(shù)成績維持在A-或以上，GPA在10.0，正常的學年可持續(xù)獲取，但需提出申請，申請截止日期為三月一日。
    研究生：
    一般來說，對于海外留學生學校會根據(jù)學生的學術(shù)情況提供Teaching assistantship、Research assistantship及merit scholarships。Merit Scholarships一年大約在一千加元到一萬二千加元不等。此類獎項面向海外學生的名額非常有限;提供給非常出色的學生，不需申請，學校會在入學通知上告知。另外學生也可申請來自校外機構(gòu)或組織提供的獎項，如 Ontario Graduate Scholarships 和 Ontario Trillium Scholarships。
