Fee Level Commitment
Since 1998-99 the University's tuition policy has been that students will be told in advance what the maximum fee increases will be as they continue through their programs, for the normal length of a full-time program of study - two to six years, as outlined in the table below. Students entering in cohorts prior to 2012-13 will not see their fees increase by more than 5% per year. The cohort of students entering as of 2012-13 and onward can expect increases to not exceed 5.69% per year. Students who exceed the normal length of their program will be charged the same tuition as students in the final year of that program.
Domestic tuition fees are subject to the Tuition Framework of the Government of Ontario. The Government’s new Tuition Framework for the period 2013-14 to 2016-17 limits tuition increases for domestic students who are continuing in their programs to 3% for undergraduate Arts & Science, Music, Kinesiology, Physical Education, Architecture, Education, Nursing, Radiation Sciences, Physician Assistant and Transitional Year Programme. It limits increases to 4% for students entering prior to 2013-14 in professional programs and to 5% for students entering in professional programs in 2013-14 and beyond. The University will adhere to the new Framework and maximum tuition fee increases for continuing full-time domestic students will follow the above-noted caps.
