If you are an international student wanting to study a postgraduate program at UQ, you have to:
Meet the English language proficiency requirements
Demonstrate you have an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, certificate and/or relevant work experience
Satisfy any other program-specific requirements

What if I do not meet the English language requirements?
If you do not meet the minimum English language proficiency requirements for your UQ degree, you may be issued with a Package Offer consisting of a period of English language study at ICTE-UQ and your chosen UQ academic program.

English language requirements
All international students must demonstrate that their current level of English language proficiency meets The University of Queensland's minimum entry requirements. Visit the UQ Graduate School website for information on how to apply for a research higher degree.
At least 6.5 overall and a minimum of 6.0 in each sub-band of IELTS. Some programs have higher English proficiency requirements
