Carver, George Washington Tuition Scholarship
General Information
One hundred full-tuition scholarships are awarded to incoming US ethnic minority freshmen directly out of high school as part of the George Washington Carver (GWC) Scholarship program. To be considered, students must rank in the upper 25 percent of their high school class AND have a 3.50 grade point average AND present a minimum ACT composite score of 24 or minimum SAT score of 1100 (Critical Reading plus Math) if SAT was taken before March, 2016 or minimum SAT score of 1160 (Evidence-based Reading and Writing plus Math) if SAT was taken in March, 2016, or later. Eligible students must identify as American Indian or Alaskan Native, African American, Asian American, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latino/a, or Multi-Racial on the application for undergraduate admission.
Students are encouraged to apply for admission before December 1st to ensure consideration. Historically all awards are distributed by January 1. Students will be notified directly if they are selected to receive the GWC scholarship. The scholarship is renewable for an additional three years (for a total of four years or eight semesters), provided the student maintains a cumulative 2.50 grade point average, and each academic year completes 24 new credit hours at the university. In order to receive the scholarship, the student must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
No additional application is necessary for the George Washington Carver scholarship. Students must be offered admission before they can be considered for the scholarship. Students who are offered the scholarship must file the FAFSA prior to March 1.

General Information
Awards are offered to full-time undergraduates with junior classification. Applicants must be United States citizens and have graduated from an accredited high school in the state of Iowa or have been a resident of the state of Iowa for at least five consecutive years immediately prior to application.
Twenty awards are available to applicants with great potential and promise who have to work hard to make ends meet, or who are faced with significant social and economic obstacles in their lives. Selection is based on academic merit, potential in field of study, financial need, and the consideration of extenuating circumstances that present challenges to obtaining a degree. Awards are considered for renewal based upon meeting scholarship criteria.

獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金基本信息
所有校長(zhǎng)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)倡議獎(jiǎng)都是2000美元。該倡議下有八項(xiàng)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。請(qǐng)?jiān)谕瓿缮暾?qǐng)之前查看你所要申請(qǐng)的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。
校長(zhǎng)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)倡議獎(jiǎng)要求提供申請(qǐng)表、附信、領(lǐng)帶能力簡(jiǎn)歷、Essay和兩封推薦信。
注意：這些獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)將在2017-201學(xué)年頒發(fā)，總獎(jiǎng)金分兩個(gè)學(xué)期分發(fā)。獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)弑仨殐蓚€(gè)學(xué)期都注冊(cè)才能獲得全獎(jiǎng)。獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)擢?jiǎng)在2017三月接到通知。
