Admission to the first semester with a Swiss matriculation certificate ("Matura")
1. Prerequisites
Unconditional admission is granted to applicants with the following Swiss credentials:
Federal or federally accredited Swiss or Liechtensteinian matriculation certificate (gymnasialer Maturitätsausweis) issued by a Swiss or Liechtensteinian secondary school (Mittelschule).
Federal vocational matriculation certificate (Berufsmaturitätszeugnis) in conjunction with the the supplementary exam certificate (“Passerelle” Ergänzungsprüfung, information in German, French, Italian).
Nationally recognised specialised matriculation certificate (Fachmaturitätszeugnis) in conjunction with the the supplementary exam certificate (“Passerelle” Ergänzungsprüfung, information in German, French, Italian).
Bachelor's degree, Diploma, Licentiate or Staatsexamen from a Swiss university (1st university degree).
Bachelor's degree or Diploma from a Swiss accredited university of applied sciences (Fachhochschule FH) or Swiss teacher training college (pädagogische Hochschule PH).

Applications to the first semester of Bachelor's degree programmes must be submitted online. One dated and signed printout of your application, together with your documents, must be posted to the designated address by the application deadline. An application fee is charged (proof of payment required!). Details regarding payment options can be found on the last page of the online application form.

Applicationto Bachelor programmes is open to everybody. ETH Zurich may, however, require you to pass an entrance examination before admitting you.

Language requirements
Main contentThe language of instruction in all Bachelor programmes is German. Single courses may be taught in English.
Candidates who do not meet any of the requirements listed under points1 to 8 must submit one of the certificates listed under point 9 before the beginning of studies:
Mother tongue [Native language] German: By ‘mother tongue’ we mean the main language which you acquired in childhood with no formal teaching. It is also the language in which you now write, speak and understand written and oral communication with the least effort and with the greatest competence (level C2 and higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). By ‘bilingual’ we mean that your knowledge of a second language fulfils the same criteria as those listed above for your mother tongue.
German Zeugnis der allgemeinen Hochschulreife, provided the school is located in Germany or in the German-speaking part of Switzerland
Austrian Reifeprüfungszeugnis, provided the school is located in Austria or in Liechtenstein

The language requirements must be fulfilled before the start of the study program. Otherwise, the admission to the Bachelor programme will not be possible. ETH Zurich does not offer German language courses.

3、語言條件
蘇黎世聯(lián)邦理工學院所有的學士學位專業(yè)的授課語言都是德語，單獨的課程可能是英語授課。
不滿足以下列出的(1)到(8)中任意一種語言要求的候選人必須在課程開始之前，遞交(9)中列出的其中一種證明：
(1)母語(第一語言)德語：母語就是指你在孩童時期在沒有正規(guī)教學的情況下習得的主要語言，也是你目前寫作、交流以及理解書面和口語交流的語言(根據(jù)歐洲共同語言框架達到C2水平或者更高標準);雙語意味著你第二種語言的知識達到了與上述母語語言能力水平的同樣標準。
(2)German Zeugnis der allgemeinen Hochschulreife，假定學校位于德國，或者是位于瑞士的德語區(qū)。
(3)Austrian Reifeprüfungszeugnis，假定學校位于奧地利或者是列支敦士登。
(4)Luxembourgian Certificat de fin d'études secondaires
(5)在位于南蒂羅爾以及德語為主要授課語言的區(qū)域的學校獲得的über die bestandene staatliche Abschlussprüfung an der Oberschule 文憑。
(6)比利時的德國共同體Abschlusszeugnis der Oberstufe des Sekundarunterrichts。
(7)在以德語為授課語言的學校(位于德國、奧地利、列支敦士登、或者是瑞士其他的德語區(qū)域)至少8年的學習。
(8)在位于德國、奧地利、列支敦士登、或者是瑞士的，以德語為授課語言的大學參加至少三年的學士學位學歷資格或者其他學歷資格的全日制專業(yè)學習。
(9)以下其中一種德語證書：
