Scholarships
Scholarships recognise the many ways in which our students are outstanding in their subject. Individuals may be able to apply directly or may automatically be nominated for awards.

1.The Barnett Pharmaceutical Sciences Scholarship

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, supported by Norbrook Laboratories Limited, offers the Barnett Pharmaceutical Sciences Scholarship for students who hold a confirmed conditional offer of a place on the MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences Programme.
The Scholarship will support a maximum of two scholars and will be used to cover the full amount of the scholars' tuition fees (up to a combined total value of £10,000 per annum) with any remaining funds being paid directly to the scholar in support of living expenses.
The Barnett Pharmaceutical Sciences Scholarship is now closed for applications. Information will be sent to all eligible students in Summer 2017 with the scholarship(s) to be awarded in the academic year 2017/18.

2.IET Diamond Jubilee Scholarships 2017

Approximately 60 scholarships will be available, of at least £1,000 per year, for up to three years for Bachelors and four years for MEng, to students who are about to start an IET accredited degree course in autumn 2017.
Winners will also receive free membership of the IET for the duration of their course, if not already received as an IET Academic Partner with their University. Scholarship winners are expected to be ambassadors for the IET and engineering.

Criteria for 2017 Scholarships
To be eligible for a Diamond Jubilee Scholarship you will need to achieve
3 'A's at A Level
3 'A' grade Advanced Highers
5 'A' grade Highers
International Baccalaureate Diploma at 36 points or above
Diamond Jubilee Scholarships are for UK residents only.
All applicants for IET Diamond Jubilee Scholarships must be about to commence studying in Autumn 2017, on an undergraduate degree programme in the UK which has been accredited by the IET. The IET accredits programmes across a diverse spectrum, including electrical, electronic, manufacturing, mechanical, systems and software engineering and specialist areas such as bioengineering, nanotechnology and renewable energy. Before making your application, check the list of CEng and IEng accredited programmes to make sure that your degree course in the UK is accredited by the IET.
The absence of IET accreditation could mean that the programme is accredited by another professional body, it is going through the re-accreditation process or the university has not asked the IET to accredit the programme.
If your degree course is not accredited by the IET, you will not be eligible to apply for a scholarship.
2017年鉆石慶獎學(xué)金資格標準

How to Apply
Complete the online application form . Applications must be received by the deadline. Changes to your application form can be made at any time up until the deadline.
All applicants are advised to complete the application as much as possible by 30 June 2017. Candidates will then only have to add their UCAS results and examination results by 24 August 2017.

3.The Flax Trust Bursaries
Flax Trust 獎學(xué)金
The Flax Trust is offering a number of £1,000 bursaries for its business planning programme, leading to the award of the Advanced Diploma in Social Enterprise. This is a part-time programme which is fully accredited, managed and delivered by Ulster University.

4.The Ulster University Student Fund Scholarships and Awards

Applications to the Ulster University Student Fund for the academic year 2016/17 are now closed. The Student Fund usually invites applications once a year through email communications generally circulated in October of each academic year to all students and staff.
Applications are invited for the following categories:
• Gateway Scholarship (Full Time Undergraduate) - £1,000 for up to three years, excluding work placement year.
• Gateway Scholarship (Part Time Adult Learner) - £1,000 for one academic year.
• Broadening Horizons Travel Bursary - awards are for travel only, in support of academic studies, and will not normally exceed a maximum of £500.
• Sports Scholarship - £1,000 for one academic year.
• The Vice-Chancellor's Award - awards will not normally exceed £1,000, and multiple awards to support a project will not normally be made. In the case of an exceptional application/project an award of up to £5,000 may be considered.
• New England Alumni Association Boston Step-Up Scholarship - £1,000 per academic year for a maximum of 4 years.
• Academic Excellence Awards - £500 awarded to the student in each of the six Faculties who has scored the highest average mark in the first year of their programme of study.

5.Talented Athlete Entry Scheme

The Scheme will re-open in October 2017 for entry to Ulster University in 2018.
N.B The closing date for applications is 15 January annually.
Hours of training, intense regimes and high level competition programmes can sometimes mean a sacrifice in examination performance.
The Scheme is designed to assist talented young athletes gain access to a quality education whilst attaining success at the highest levels within their chosen sport by reducing the entry grades required for full-time undergraduate courses.

6.Scholarships for LLM Programmes
The School of Law, supported by the Department of Justice, offers the Access to Justice Scholarship to students on the LLM in Clinical Legal Education. All LLM applicants invited for interview will be invited to apply for the Access to Justice Scholarship.
The Scholarship provides full-fee support for scholars, with one of the scholars also benefitting from a maintenance grant. All LLM applicants invited for interview will be invited to apply for these scholarships.

Two awards are offered annually: £750 for first place and £250 for the runner-up, open to students on the Advanced Medical Sensors module with the BSc Hons Biomedical Engineering. Students taking the Advanced Medical Sensors will be provided with information by their course director at the start of each academic year.
