Chevening Scholarship

Eligibility criteria
Scholars are personally selected by British High Commissioners throughout the world, sometimes in partnership with appropriate sponsoring organisations.
To be eligible for a Chevening Award you must:
Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country
Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your award has ended
Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry to a postgraduate programme at a UK university. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK.
Have at least two years’ work experience (this may be up to five years for fellowship programmes, please refer to your country page for further details)
Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 13 July 2017
Meet the Chevening English language requirement by 13 July 2017
You are not eligible for a Chevening Award if you:
Hold British or dual British citizenship (unless you are a citizen of a British Overseas Territory or hold BN(O) and are applying from Hong Kong)
Have previously studied in the UK with funding from a UK Government-funded scholarship. Chevening Alumni are not eligible to apply for a further scholarship but may be eligible to apply for a fellowship five years after completion of the first award.

Criteria: Full-time;Start in the autumn term (usually September/October);Lead to a master’s degree qualification.
Course cannot be: Distance learning; Part-time; Less than nine months in duration; More than 12 months in duration ; PhD or DPhil are not permitted.

(1)有英國國籍或英國雙重國籍(除非是英國海外領(lǐng)土公民或有英國海外公民身份并且是從香港申請);
(2)先前在英國學(xué)習(xí)過，并且獲得英國政府提供的獎學(xué)金。已經(jīng)獲得志奮領(lǐng)獎學(xué)金的畢業(yè)生不能再申請志奮領(lǐng)獎學(xué)金，但可以在第一個獎項(xiàng)到期的五年后申請研究院基金。

About the scholarship
We have 10 full-fee and 25 half-fee scholarships available for students living in China, Hong Kong or Taiwan.
Eligibility criteria
To apply for this scholarship you must have already received an offer from the University of Bradford to begin your studies in September 2017. You must enclose a copy of your offer letter with your scholarship application form.
You are only eligible to apply if you are domiciled in China (mainland), Hong Kong or Taiwan.
All applicants applying for any UG or PG taught programmes except for MBA are eligible to apply (this does not include any PG research programmes).
Your application will be considered based on your academic performance, language skills, work experience and your personal statement.
Applicable courses
All full-time courses based at the University of Bradford (excluding MBA, distance learning and external).

About the scholarship
Available to self-funding students from China who are applying for any MSc course (except European International Business Management) within the School of Management.
Scholarships offers will normally be made during the offer process based on your application for the programme.
For these scholarships, we focus on rewarding the potential contribution a student brings to the programme and its cohort, evaluating not just academic excellence, but work and personal achievements also.
Applicable courses: Applied Management and Entrepreneurship MSc; Finance and Investment MSc; Finance Accounting and Management MSc; Human Resource Management MSc (full time, part time); International Business and Management MSc; Management MSc; Marketing and Management MSc; Strategic Marketing MSc.

Two full-fee scholarships are available to the value of ￡15,000, to cover the complete cost of the programme and some travel expenses.

About the scholarship
The Rotary Peace Centre, one of six worldwide, is based in the Division of Peace Studies and International Development at the University of Bradford. The Peace Studies and International Development Department has an international reputation for being at the forefront of thinking in these fields of study and provides students with relevant and innovative undergraduate and masters programmes in peace studies, international relations, security studies and development studies. The then Department of Peace Studies was a founding member of the Rotary Peace Centres network in 2002.
Each year, Rotary selects up to 100 professionals from around the world to receive fellowships to study at one of the peace centres.
Through academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities, the Rotary Peace Centers program develops leaders who become catalysts for peace and conflict prevention and resolution.

Eligibility criteria
Peace fellowship applicants must meet these requirements:
Proficiency in English; a second language is strongly recommended
Demonstrated commitment to international understanding and peace
Excellent leadership skills
Master’s degree applicants: minimum three years of related full-time work or volunteer experience, bachelor’s degree
Rotary Peace Fellowships may not be used for doctoral study. And the following people are not eligible for the Master's degree program:
Active Rotary members
Employees of a Rotary club or district, Rotary International, or other Rotary entity
Spouses, lineal descendants (children or grandchildren by blood or legal adoption), spouses of lineal descendants, or ancestors (parents or grandparents by blood) of any living person in these categories
Former Rotary members and their relatives as described above (within 36 months of their resignation)
Recipients of Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships or professional development certificate fellowships must wait three years after completion of the scholarship or fellowship to apply for the Master's degree program.

We offer a variety of Master's degree courses such as Peace, Conflict and Development; Sustainable Development; Advanced Practice in Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution; International Politics and Security Studies and International Development Management.
For Rotary Fellows the programme consists of the following:

These fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses.
How to apply
The Rotary Peace Fellowships are offered on a world-competitive basis. Each Rotary district may nominate candidates for competition in the worldwide selection process. Up to 10 fellowships for Master’s level studies are offered annually at Bradford Rotary Peace Centre. Fellows can only be assigned to a centre that is outside of their home country. All Rotary Districts are encouraged to recruit qualified candidates in their area to apply for the fellowship.
