Accommodation
When you have read and understood your Offer of Admission letter, you need to accept your offer and pay the tuition fees. You will then need to apply for a student visa and ensure you meet the application closing date for accommodation. Alternatively, you can defer your offer.

Temporary Accommodation

Temporary accommodation is available for students who do not have a place to stay when they first arrive in Wollongong. It can be booked through UOW Accommodation Services before your arrival in Australia, at the same time as you book your airport pick-up,
UOW Living provides a range of living options that suit differing budgets and living needs. We are also continuing to grow to meet our students’ needs with an additional 1000 beds to be available by 2018 in brand new modern, self-catered facilities that will be on campus.

(1)International House
International House is the original University of Wollongong residence and an affiliate of the 17 International Houses Worldwide. Home to many Australian and international students this residence first opened its doors to students over 35 years ago. It now proudly boasts a community representing over 30 nations, including Australia, living and learning peacefully under the one roof.
International House is fully catered and located in a semi-bushland setting in North Wollongong. It is mere minutes from the nearest railway station, a 15 minute walk to the main campus and Wollongong's premier beach, North Beach.

CULTURE AND STYLE OF INTERNATIONAL HOUSE
The mission of International House is to promote global well-being by enabling its residents to be intercultural leaders. Intercultural leaders understand cultural differences and help others to understand their differences and build international friendships.
International House offers a vibrant and culturally diverse support network for its students, with a widely varied calendar of activities, which, through participation, strong cross-cultural friendships are formed. Through the award winning iLIVE program, a range of activities is held on a regular basis and includes BYO Academic, iFeast, Meet the Teach, Tuesday Topicals, Global Visions and Farewell Formals. Involvement in such events offers all residents the opportunity to enjoy an enriched community where they can share in different cultures and customs and form bonds with students from all over the world.
Former Student Residence Managers Alison Hemsley and Lindsay Oades were awarded a Vice-Chancellors General Staff Award for Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning for the iLIVE Program at International House.
International House is ideal for students from both Australia and overseas who embrace a multicultural community and the International House vision: Global well-being starts here. An established alumni has resulted from this culture.
Many first years and postgraduate students choose to enjoy the diverse culture at International House for several years.

CATERING
Fully catered, International House offers students 19 meals per week which can be enjoyed in the dining room or the newly renovated comfort of "The Courtyard": al-fresco style dining, with sun sails and outdoor cooking. Meals are served Monday to Friday including breakfast, "make your own" lunch to take to uni and dinner. On weekends brunch and an evening meal is served.
A wide range of food is available and all dietary requirements can be catered for. Food can be tailored to suit diverse cultural tastes, and students can request an individual meeting with the Chef Manager. Special theme nights such as iFeast or Thai food nights are also held from time to time. Small kitchenettes with a fridge, stove and microwave are also available for people who wish to cook for themselves outside of these times or prepare snacks.

(2)Weerona College
Weerona College was officially opened in 1990, and is now home to 204 residents from all over the world. The college aims to provide an atmosphere that is not only conducive to study but also to social and personal development.
Weerona College is fully catered and is a short distance from the University Campus, the beach and Wollongong City. It is located next door to Beaton Park, a large sporting complex with an indoor pool, gymnasium, tennis courts and running track. Many students ride their bikes to campus and some choose to walk. Students can also use the regular university shuttle bus.

CULTURE AND STYLE OF WEERONA COLLEGE
Weerona College offers a strong community culture with a vibrant social and sporting program for residents while also providing strong academic support. The interests and social interaction of residents from differing cultures is strongly encouraged. Residents are from all over the world and Weerona is an ideal place for 1st years or other students who want fully catered accommodation. Many students choose to stay at Weerona for several years.
There is a wide mix of students at Weerona College, including undergraduate and postgraduate, domestic and international as well as study abroad students. Each year there are approximately 60 international residents adding to the diversity of the community.
Weerona College is for individual students only and does not accommodate families and children. Family accommodation is available at Graduate House.

CATERING
Weerona College is a fully catered residence, where 19 meals a week (all meals excluding weekend lunches) are provided. Any special dietary requirements or cultural tastes can be taken care of by the kitchen staff. The dining room is open for breakfast and dinner and outside set meal times, students can prepare snacks in the kitchenettes which are located throughout the residence.

ACTIVITIES AND SOCIAL EVENTS
A wide range of social, academic and cultural events are held at Weerona College, including football, soccer and netball matches, Masquerade Balls, performance nights, Sunday BBQs, drumming lessons, tutorials and study support groups. Student Development Assistants (SDAs) assist in fields of academic and community support, sports, social and cultural development and offer varied programs and events for all residents.

Campus East is located in the beach-side suburb of Fairy Meadow, a 10 minute drive north of the main University of Wollongong campus. The Residence setting is comfortably spread across large grounds including a number of playing fields. Conveniently, Campus East is only a 5 minute walk to Fairy Meadow swim and surf beach, as well as local shopping, and eating outlets. Campus East is the largest of the University's residences, housing 615 residents in flexi-catered and self-catered accommodation. Students come from Australia and all over the world creating a supportive and fun community that is rich in diversity.

(4)Keiraview
Keiraview is located on the fringe of Wollongong CBD and is walking distance to shops, the beach and some of the best cafes and restaurants in Wollongong. Getting to uni is easy from Keiraview. There is a free Gong Shuttle which takes about 10 minutes in peak times, or a free North Gong Shuttle from North Wollongong train station, which will take slightly longer. If walking the whole way to uni is your preference, then it will take about 40 minutes.

CULTURE AND STYLE OF KEIRAVIEW
Keiraview is home to 46 students from all over the world and Australia, representing a multicultural community that is close knit and supportive. It is an ideal choice for 2nd year and older students, in addition to postgraduate students who are looking for a level of independence while also benefitting from the excellent support provided. Regular activities are held for students including pizza nights, short trips to nearby attractions, BBQs and many casual social events. Students are able to enjoy the combined residence events and benefit from the ongoing development, academic and social programs available.
Keiraview also operates as motel and backpacker accommodation and is a member of YHA. Students’ rooms are located in a separate section to the motel and backpacker rooms and this area is not accessible to other guests.
