Minnesota’s highest ranking university, the University of Minnesota, put in a strong performance in the 2011/12 QS World University Rankings, just two places short of the top 100.Despite having a large and growing student body – about 65,000 at the last count – the university has managed to maintain a good student-to-faculty ratio.Most of these students are based at the flagship campus, the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (UMTC), which is split into two halves, one in Minneapolis and one in Saint Paul.
