distant， remote
distant 與remote 相似點較多，都可指“(時間上)久遠的”，如：in the distant/remote past/future 在遙遠的過去/將來“(人)遠親的不友好的，疏遠的”，如：distant/remote politeness 冷漠的拘禮態(tài)度“不同的，不相關(guān)的”，常用~from，如：a life distant/remote from his own 與他自己的生活不同的生活。
