Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit in London， the biggest Chinese New Year celebrations outside Asia.

Every year， hundreds of thousands of people descend on the West End to enjoy a colourful parade， free stage performances and traditional Chinese food， and to wish each other ＂Xin Nian Kuai Le＂ （Happy New Year in Mandarin） or ＂Sun Nin Faai Lok＂ （in Cantonese）.

This year， the Chinese New Year festival in central London， organised by the London Chinatown Chinese Association （LCCA）， takes place on 22 January， which is the day of the Chinese New Year.

It will soon be time to welcome in the ChineseNew Year again - and Birmingham Hippodrome and Chinese Festival Committee Birmingham have announced that that celebrations will return to Birmingham in January. The Bullring & Grand Central and Southside will be the place to be to witness the festivities with a wide variety of performances planned for the Chinese New Year.

Starting on January 21， the fun will begin in the city centre with performances scheduled in partnership with Bullring & Grand Central. The celebrations will continue the following day in Southside on January 22 with food stalls， activities and more planned.

This year， we are thrilled to be able to celebrate the traditional Chinese New Year Celebrations in person once again. The symbolic Chinese lanterns will decorate the heart of Chinatown， buildings will be lit up red in honour of this age-old tradition， the dragon and unicorn will parade the streets and the stage returns to Great George Square to host a programme of live performances throughout the day.

Every year， the Chinese Students and Scholars Association in Cambridge （CAM-CSSA） holds the Cambridge Chinese New Year Gala at the Corn Exchange to celebrate this most important traditional Chinese festival with students， scholars， and residents in Cambridge， as well as people from other areas in the UK. The Gala features unique Chinese traditional decorations and breathtaking performances as well as gorgeous stage and sound effects.

Famous Chinese singers and celebrities will also join and give performances at the Gala.

英國(guó)白金漢宮首次舉行新春招待會(huì)，逾百華人嘉賓驚喜受邀出席！
當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間2月1日晚，英國(guó)國(guó)王查爾斯三世和皇后卡米拉在白金漢宮首次為英國(guó)東亞和東南亞社區(qū)舉行招待會(huì)，共慶農(nóng)歷新年，也表彰亞裔為英國(guó)社會(huì)所作的貢獻(xiàn)。
這是英國(guó)歷史上皇室第一次在白金漢宮舉辦新春活動(dòng)，《歐洲時(shí)報(bào)》與英倫圈代表也受邀參加。
國(guó)會(huì)議員Alan Mak表示，之前參加過(guò)幾次白金漢宮舉辦的招待會(huì)，不過(guò)是第一次參加如此規(guī)模的專(zhuān)門(mén)邀請(qǐng)東南亞社區(qū)代表的招待會(huì)，他感到很榮幸，也表明華人和東南亞裔人群在英國(guó)的影響力和所作貢獻(xiàn)越來(lái)越大。

鄧柱廷說(shuō)，查爾斯國(guó)王交談時(shí)向他們表示歡迎，也贊揚(yáng)了商會(huì)剛剛主辦的盛大倫敦新春慶典，有70萬(wàn)人參與，并祝愿大家“新年快樂(lè)”。鄧柱廷也向查爾斯和卡米拉表達(dá)了新春祝福，并希望他們有機(jī)會(huì)再次訪問(wèn)倫敦華埠。
受白金漢宮邀請(qǐng)、幫助組織這次新春活動(dòng)的華人資料與咨詢中心（CIAC）主席楊慶權(quán)太平紳士接受《歐洲時(shí)報(bào)》訪問(wèn)時(shí)表示：“這是史無(wú)前例的一場(chǎng)農(nóng)歷新年招待會(huì)，我非常榮幸能參與和幫助組織這次活動(dòng)！” 他透露，英國(guó)皇室去年12月聯(lián)絡(luò)中心，希望中心協(xié)助組織、提名和邀請(qǐng)100位華社嘉賓，這令他和中心成員都倍感高興和自豪。
他說(shuō)：“我是馬來(lái)西亞華人，春節(jié)代表著團(tuán)圓、團(tuán)結(jié)，不同背景的人們團(tuán)聚在一起，在此過(guò)程中中華文化也得到更廣泛的傳播，這是春節(jié)的重要意義?，F(xiàn)在春節(jié)也是英國(guó)一個(gè)非常重要的慶典，從皇室、政府，到各大機(jī)構(gòu)、博物館、學(xué)校、商家、社區(qū)社團(tuán)等，都會(huì)舉行春節(jié)慶?；顒?dòng)。這次白金漢宮的招待會(huì)，也代表對(duì)華人和華裔社區(qū)的重視和認(rèn)可，令英國(guó)主流社會(huì)進(jìn)一步尊重和認(rèn)識(shí)中華文化和傳統(tǒng)，了解不同族裔的多元文化。”
中英戲曲協(xié)會(huì)會(huì)長(zhǎng)邱增慧興奮地說(shuō)：“我和查爾斯國(guó)王握手并交談了很長(zhǎng)時(shí)間，他的手厚實(shí)溫暖，很難忘的經(jīng)歷。我們聊起了京劇，查爾斯很感興趣，問(wèn)了我很多問(wèn)題：從哪里來(lái)的，做什么工作，是演唱嗎？我說(shuō)是演奏，他又問(wèn)我演奏樂(lè)器的名字；我還解釋了京胡、二胡的區(qū)別等，他希望有一天看我們演出。最后查爾斯說(shuō)還沒(méi)去過(guò)北京，我立刻說(shuō)：‘I hope you have a chance to visit China！（我希望您有機(jī)會(huì)去中國(guó)訪問(wèn)）’”
