    1. I don’t have the nerve to do it.
    我沒膽/勇氣去做。
    “勇氣”這里用的是nerve，其實也可以換成“gut”。gut除了有“膽量，勇氣”的意思外還有“肝臟”之意。
    2. It’s a matter of life and death.
    事關生死。
    It’s a matter of…以后可以用這句開頭：這是個什么什么問題。
    3. Nothing works.
    什么都不對勁兒。
    4. Money will come and go.
    錢乃身外之物。
    5. He’s been behind bars for almost 30 years.
    他坐了將近30年的牢。
    behind bars: 坐牢。
    6. If I had known that, I could have helped you.
    假如我早知道，我就能幫你了。

    我不在乎。
    也可以用疑問的語氣：Who cares? 誰管這個?。?BR>    8. You have my word.
    我保證。
    可以想到promise滴~~
    9. He hit the ceiling at the news.
    他聽到那消息暴跳如雷/大發(fā)雷霆。
    還可以聯(lián)想到一個短語：drop this bombshell 點擊發(fā)音 on me: 告訴我這個驚人的消息。（宣布爆炸性的事件，通常指壞消息。）例如：
    My mom dropped the bombshell that dad had cancer.
    我媽媽宣布了爸爸患了癌癥的驚人消息。
