第一天：了解改錯
1、題材熟悉 一般選自英美有關科技（以科普為主）、社科、人文方面的 考生略知其內容的原文。議論文為主，很少有描寫性質的文學作品。
2、語言規(guī)范 無俚語和生僻的行話，很少引用人物對話。
3、難度適中 一般文章長度為200字左右，幾乎全部屬于大綱規(guī)定的初、中級詞匯。每一標有題號的行，字數(shù)一般不超過10個。詞匯量低于試卷其它部分的要求，偶見超綱詞但有漢語釋意。語言的難度，如語法、句子結構也稍低于試卷其它部分，但錯誤部分的難度較大。
4、每標題號行有且僅有一處錯誤，未標題號行無錯誤
5、無印刷、標點及拼寫錯誤
6、重點明確 三種改錯方式，即替換、添加、刪除 之中，以替換為主，其出現(xiàn)的頻率。
7、正確答案一定 是簡潔、直接、對應的 也就是說 答案一定是簡單明了，直截了當，與錯的那個詞相對應的。 如：He was hired due to his quarrel with his boss. 通過分析，容易發(fā)現(xiàn) 這句話要表達的邏輯含義與hired 所能表達的意思恰恰相反，如果改為dismissed 固然說得通；但fired 一詞才來得最直接，對應；其剛好是 hired 對應的反義詞，的滿足了原句的要求。
