中考英語詞匯：about,round,around的用法區(qū)別

三者均可表示“在…周圍”，有時(shí)可互換。如：
    They sat about [round, around] the fire. 他們圍火而坐。
    在現(xiàn)代英語中，about用于這種情況已不多見。
    另外，表示“到處”，三者也可互換：
    He traveled about [round, around] the world. 他周游了全世界。
    用在數(shù)字之前表示“大約”，一般用 about 或 around：
    About [Around] 50 people came to the meeting. 大約有50人來參加了會(huì)議。
    He left his homeland around 1930. 他大約在1930年離開家鄉(xiāng)。
    在英國(guó)英語中，在表示時(shí)間的詞組里也可用 round：
    He arrived about [round, around] 5 o’clock. 他是大約5點(diǎn)鐘到的。
