口語(yǔ)中巧妙應(yīng)用"hundred"
習(xí)語(yǔ)中“hundred”并非表示精確數(shù)字，往往強(qiáng)調(diào)數(shù)量之多，如：
1、by the hundred（by hundreds） （數(shù)以百計(jì)，大批大批地）；
2、a cool hundred（[口]百鎊巨款，巨款）；
3、hundred percent（，完全地）；
4、hundreds of thousands of people（成千上萬(wàn)的人）；

6、"a hundred to one" 一百比一，指概率極高（high probability），非常可能。
7、"ninety－nine out of a hundred" 百分之九十九，幾乎全部，差不多總是。
