語(yǔ)調(diào)
語(yǔ)調(diào)是指說(shuō)話(huà)時(shí)聲調(diào)的高低變化。英語(yǔ)中最主要的兩種語(yǔ)調(diào)就是降調(diào)和升調(diào)。降調(diào)用于肯定的語(yǔ)句、命令以及特殊疑問(wèn)句，具有一種完整和結(jié)論性的口氣。
(1)一般陳述句。例如：
This book is a novel．
She doesn ‘t like it at all．
(2)特殊疑問(wèn)句。例如：
Where did you go?
What’S wrong with you?
(3)表示命令的祈使句。例如：
Be on time．
Don’t go out of the door!
(4)感嘆句。例如：What a nice day!
HOW beautiful it is!
(5)反意疑問(wèn)句。前面陳述句的內(nèi)容是明顯的事實(shí)，后面的問(wèn)句只是表示客氣，以引起別人的注意，或者說(shuō)話(huà)者覺(jué)得自己的話(huà)是對(duì)的，期望得到別人的同意。例如：
It’S a nice day，isn’t it?
You came this moming，didn’t you?
升調(diào)用于一般疑問(wèn)句和一切表示懷疑的語(yǔ)句，具有一種非完整性的口氣。
(1)一般疑問(wèn)句。例如：
Do you like sports?
Haven’t you done that before?
(2)表示請(qǐng)求的祈使句。例如：
Have some tea，please．
Don’t come back too late．
(3)帶有不肯定、抱歉等意思的陳述句。例如：
Maybe you’d like some tea．
