上次去火車站排隊買票,還沒走進售票大廳就被票販子攔住問要不要黃牛票。這些人可真大膽,在鐵路警方眼皮底下公開倒票。我們常用在別人眼皮底下做某事來形容某人膽大妄為, 英語里也有類似說法,就是under one's nose。來看下面這個例子:

Under your nose還可以表示一樣東西離你很近,但你就是沒有看到。
有一個人突然發(fā)現(xiàn)自己的眼鏡找不著了,他到處找,樓上、樓下,找遍了家里每個角落還是找不到。最后,他的太太給他找到了。那眼鏡就在他坐著看書的椅子旁邊。他太太就會說:
See, they were right under your nose the entire time. 瞧,你的眼鏡一直在你的鼻子底下。
