Position Profile
Internship Position: Associate, Translator (will offer full time contract if the candidate ‘s performance meets our expectation)

Reporting Structure Translation Team Leader
To work closely with the Corporate Advisory professionals and related business and supporting units throughout Macquarie on a range of translation tasks.
Core Responsibilities
A translator's core responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Specific translation tasks (Chinese/English) assigned by the business including pitch-books, memos, articles and other documentation
Delivery of high standard translation work in accordance with the company’s guidelines and strict deadlines
Flexibility in prioritizing translation tasks based on instructions and effective circumstances
Regular consultations with staff to keep them informed about the progress of translation assignments and any potential issues
Maintenance of a translation study/error log to facilitate future reference and progresses
Overtime and weekend work may be required in case of urgent translation jobs
Other ad hoc tasks
Key Skills
Master degree in English, Translation Studies or Applied Linguistics;
Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or certificates in English , Chinese, finance, economics
To work to the highest professional standards and is detail oriented
Outcome focused and able to deliver quality results under pressure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Well organised, self-disciplined, self starter who can manage a range of competing priorities and projects
Fast leaner and open to challenges
Enjoy learning from working
Bilingual English & Mandarin (written and spoken)
