The IBM Rational Software Delivery platform helps solve challenges ranging from understanding the impact of open source software to managing risk, from catching bugs in testing to improving communication across worldwide development team. The Rational family cover the end to end software development life cycle. including process and portfolio management, Change and request management, quality management, etc.
CDL Rational team is one of the core development sites in the WW, contributing to the full lifecycle development of many Rational products in China, which ranges from Rational ClearCase, Rational ClearQuest, Rational Quality Manager, Rational Insight, Rational Method Composer,Rational Business Developer, Rational Developer for System i, ClearCase z/OS, to a set of mainframe tools. In addition, CDL Rational is also the quality competency center for Rational system integration and performance testing.
Now we are looking for talented interns for Rational ClearCase product. Rational ClearCase is a leading enterprise software configuration management solution. It simplifies the process of change in large development environments as it helps software teams control requirements, models, source code, documentation, and test scripts. It handles version control, parallel development, workspace management, process configurability, and build management. It also provides advanced build auditing and a Web interface for universal data access. Through the use of scripted rules, ClearCase manages and enforces the organizations development process. CDL ClearCase development team is being involved into the development of several key ClearCase new features and making great contributions to the success of the product.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate well with WW team on software development, actively participate into feature development, resolve critical technical and non-technical problems to archive the project goal and help to deliver high quality ClearCase product.
Job Requirements (skills/experiences)：
Strong programming skills in C/C /Java/Perl/Python
Excellent Windows, Linux and UNIX OS skills
Excellent UNIX/Linux file system(over network) knowledge and development skills.
Excellent UNIX/Linux/Windows RPC application development skills.
Sound knowledge of J2SE, J2EE, SOA and XML related technology and OO design.
Experienced in Software configuration management methodology and deployment.
Familiar with Agile development process
Knowledge of testing process and testing methodology
Initiative to tackle technical difficulties
Familiar with Change Control Management and Configuration Management products is plus
Qualifications(Education/Major/Certificates):
Grade 1 or 2 in Graduate School and major in Computer Science or equivalent, or above.
Proactive, innovative and good leadership
Self-motivated and good team player
Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
