We are looking for an individual to be responsible for design, development, an
d maintenance of high quality code to support EMCs global manufacturing oper
ations. This role requires you to be part of a striving global team, to direct
ly communicate with our global partners, and to handle assigned work items joi
ntly with oversea colleagues.
This position provides an opportunity to co-work with engineers in a Fortune 5
00 multi-national company. A successful candidate will be part of a team who o
wns critical projects end to end, He/She will have opportunities to co-work wi
th very experienced engineers and earn firsthand experience on different phase
s of software development lifecycle.
A successful candidate must have a computer science or software engineering re
lated background, strong problem solving skill and an easy going personality.
Responsibilities:
- Design and development of large and complex development projects
- Research, evaluation, development and application of new process and methods
into products
- May be responsible for establishing and conducting testing routines, develop
ing or executing project plans, and contributing to budgets and schedules. Pro
vides documentation of work and results; reviews projects against goals and pr
ovides status reports
- Follows and enforces development processes and standard procedures
- Works with team across multiple development sites
Experience & Skills
- Must be proficient in object-oriented software development.
- Knowledge of C#.net, JavaScript, SQL server is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of web design and development is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast paced work environment.
- Successful candidates will be involved in all phases of the development proc
ess including but not limited to: requirements analysis, design, code and unit
test, integration and systems test, as well as code maintenance.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal), problem solv
ing skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
- Working knowledge of one the following environments is a plus: Windows, Linu
x or UNIX
