    Software QA Intern
    Job Summary
    Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans to ensure Websense solutions meet high quality standards. Develops technical expertise in test methods and product knowledge. Receives assignments from QA Manager and/or QA Lead and clearly reports test progress and quality risks.
    Essential Functions
    Develops and executes the test strategy (plans, cases, etc.) for assigned areas.
    Logs defects into issues database and tracks them through closure.
    Configures workstations and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing.
    Reports test results for assigned features and functionality.
    May participate in the automation of tests.
    Assists technical services staff in the resolution of customer escalations.
    Expectations
    Demonstrates the ability to analyze a problem and complete detailed reports.
    Able to methodically produce the steps which exhibit bugs in the product and is able to reproduce and communicate these steps.
    Shows initiative in gaining in-depth experience in areas of technology relevant to testing of company products.
    Highly team oriented; able to thrive in an agile development environment with few barriers to creativity.
    Passion for quality with testing.
    Excels in an environment of continuous change.
    Has strong communication skills, both in writing and orally.
    Qualifications
    Education: Formal education in computer science or equivalent experience.
    Experience: Entry-level
    Knowledge of Microsoft Windows products.
    Preferred
    Experience with Linux and/or UNIX is a plus.
    Experience with networking and/or communications protocols, especially TCP/IP.
    Experience with 1 or more programming languages.
