Qualifications:
Essential: Bachelor’s degree; Fluent in Mandarin; Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Strong English writing skills; Excellent interpersonal skills and reception skills; Experience to use own discretion and respond to issues with tact and diplomacy; Ability to prioritise workload; Strong team player who works collaboratively in a multicultural environment; Responsible and trustworthy.
Desirable: Overseas study experience; Advanced planning and organisational skills; Experience working in an international setting; Ability to work at weekends or during holidays occasionally if requested.
Salary & Benefits: RMB67,000 – RMB70,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and arrange schedules for visitors (including international), including book hotels, transport, restaurants, etc.;
- Help organize events;
- Provide administrative support for academic staff;
- Do translations work/write letters;
- Provide administrative support for coursework submission and distribution, module registration, exam administration, distribution of text books, seminar group allocations and student registration;
- Respond to student requests, including student feedback, appeals and complaints;
- Respond to enquiries from parents and visitors;
- Provide smooth paper workflow, including expense claim forms, conference attendance grant forms, staff leave application, etc.;
- Proactively liaise with academic colleagues to collect, collate and circulate relevant information;
- Maintain and update website;
- Document filing;
- Provide research support, including preparing and circulating supporting papers;
- Program and academic support at all levels; UG/MSc/PhD;
- Work on special projects as assigned by the Dean;
- Carry out other administrative tasks as assigned by the Dean;
- Participate in training and staff development events as trainer or trainee as appropriate;
- Maintain appropriate professional development, expertise and awareness;
- Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be required.
