Japan's Hitachi has unveiled its new mobility robot vehicle called Robot for Personal Intelligent Transport System (Ropits) this week, foreign media reported. The tiny, single-seat Ropits can pick up and drop off passengers autonomously as they punch in the desired destination via a touch-screen tablet interface. In case of emergencies, riders can control the vehicle with a joystick (操縱桿) located in the cockpit (駕駛室). Ropits is designed to travel on sidewalks and help the elderly and those who have difficulty walking.
據(jù)外媒報道，日本日立公司本周推出了一款新型機(jī)器人汽車，全名為"個人智能交通運(yùn)輸系統(tǒng)機(jī)器人(簡稱Ropits)"。乘客只需在觸屏界面上輸入目的地，這款小型的單座機(jī)器人汽車便可自主行駛接送"主人"。若遇到緊急情況，乘客可以用車內(nèi)的搖桿對汽車進(jìn)行控制。該機(jī)器人汽車主要針對年老、行動不便的人群而設(shè)計，通常在人行道上行駛。
