Honeywell Integrated Technology Aerospace Engineering has an immediate opening for a software engineer within SVV FMS (Flight Management Systems) team located in Shanghai, China. The position will require the engineer to develop and test FMS software updates for the FMS program. The successful candidate will be required to work with the team to verify requirement and do software structure analysis, perform software test case design/code, write/execute tests case for load deliveries on the desktop.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering field.
• Experience on embedded software development required
• Experience with C++ and OOD experience required
Additional Qualifications
• Effective interpersonal, communication, teaming, customer interaction and ability to handle multiple activities/priorities effectively.
• Action oriented, results driven, high energy, self starter and ability to work as a team player.
• Influential with peers and customers and demonstrate critical thinking skills to drive to root cause.

-1. Collect, Consolidate and Analyze inventories from different asset classes and sources
a. Evaluate and report discrepancies between sources
b. Normalization & Validation of data integrity by establishing rules and exceptions
c. Ensuring high quality data is collected and integrity of the data
d. Increase data completeness & accuracy of the asset classes
2. Ensure that after customer’s validation tools are synchronized with validated data
3. Propose areas for improvement in efficiency accuracy, SW utilization, and license compliance 4. Establish processes for monthly validation of new discovered assets
5. Comparison analysis month over month
6. Control and Data Entry for validated and approved changes
7. Assist in the analysis of key performance metric data and generating improvement recommendations to the Software Governance Councils (including APP Harvesting, Low Utilization Elimination, APP Rationalization, SW Purchasing, etc.)
8. KPI & Reporting
- Ability to work with numbers and data
- Analytical mind which is able to process information logically and striving for data integrity
- Knowledge of business
- Ability to operate database systems
- Good knowledge of computer hardware and software and ability to learn about new software
- Proficient in using analytical tools and instruments for instance Excel, Microsoft Access
