Toxic running tracks
The Ministry of Education said authorities will team up to inspect the *synthetic rubber running tracks used in schools across the country this summer. Toxic running tracks, made of recycled industrial waste, are suspected of causing students to develop coughs, headaches and even nosebleeds. Substandard tracks will be removed immediately after this inspection, and the government has promised to severely punish those responsible.
教育部表示，將在今年暑期聯(lián)合有關(guān)部門(mén)對(duì)全國(guó)范圍內(nèi)學(xué)校使用的人造塑膠跑道進(jìn)行檢測(cè)和排查。毒跑道由工業(yè)廢料回收制成，懷疑會(huì)造成學(xué)生咳嗽、頭疼甚至流鼻血等癥狀。不達(dá)標(biāo)的跑道會(huì)在檢測(cè)后被立即鏟除。政府也表示會(huì)對(duì)相關(guān)責(zé)任方進(jìn)行重罰。
