Czech Republic is to experience a “metamorphosis of national magnitude”. The country’s president, prime minister, head of parliament, foreign minister and defense minister have all agreed to use “Czechia” as country’s one-word alternative name, reported Reuters. But the name must win cabinet approval before it becomes official.

國家名可分為地名(geographic name)、官方名稱(official political name)或者簡稱(short one-word name)。比如英國的地名是Great Britain， 官方名稱是The United Kingdom of Great Britain, 簡稱為UK。
