字號(hào):

    《新概念英語(yǔ)》第二冊(cè)第61課的難點(diǎn)部分(Special difficulties)中,提到了cost、price與value的用法區(qū)別。這三個(gè)詞因?yàn)橐馑枷嘟叶伎梢酝瑫r(shí)用作名詞和動(dòng)詞,所以的確容易混淆,今天我們就來(lái)做個(gè)梳理對(duì)比。以下是由整理發(fā)布,希望對(duì)你有所幫助!
    一、cost
    (一)用做名詞
The cost of something is the amount of money that is needed in order to buy, do, or make it.
但是,cost也因此可以引申為“代價(jià)”的意思,此時(shí)常用于at a cost of及其變形的短語(yǔ)中。如:
費(fèi)用:We calculated the cost of building a new house.
We have to sum up the costs of production.
代價(jià):I'm determined to attain my purpose at any cost.
If something costs a particular amount of money, you can buy, do, or make it for that amount.
值多少錢(qián):How much do the vegetables cost?
花費(fèi):That car must have cost a fortune.
代價(jià):Her irresponsible behaviour cost her father many sleepless nights.
The price of something is the amount of money that you have to pay in order to buy it.
不過(guò),price也可以表示“代價(jià)”,而且也常用語(yǔ)at a price及其變形的短語(yǔ)中。如:
價(jià)格:I wonder why the company keeps its price so low.
    代價(jià):But prosperity comes at a price.
    What's the cost/price of this pen?
If something is priced at a particular amount, the price is set at that amount.
I'll ask an expert to price the old car.
The value of something such as a quality, attitude, or method is its importance or usefulness. If you place a particular value on something, that is the importance or usefulness you think it has.
This book will be of great value to him in his study.
No one knows the value of health until he loses it.
If you value something or someone, you think that they are important and you appreciate them.
估價(jià):You'd better ask an expert concerned to value your apartment. )
重視:The Chinese highly value the strong family ties.
