1. 你能幫我把這個扔了嗎？
Can you help me throw it? (×)
throw 這個詞本身是表示“仍”這個動作，而不是扔掉的意思。比如：
Can you throw me that book?
你能把那本書扔給我嗎？
如果表示扔掉，我們可以說：…throw something away. 比如：
I threw my old iPhone away because I'm getting an iPhone X.
我把舊手機扔了，因為我要買一個iPhone X.
除了throw away，我們還可以用dump something或者get rid of something來表示“扔掉”。所以表達“你能幫我把這個扔了嗎？”我們可以這樣說：
Can you dump this for me?
Can you throw this away for me?
Can you get rid of it for me?
2. 等一下，我得系下鞋帶。
Hold up, I gotta tie my shoes up. (×)
這個句子當(dāng)中有兩個地方容易出現(xiàn)錯誤，“等一下”我們常用的表達有：
hold on a second
one second
hang on a second
“hold up”的意思是“舉起；支撐；耽擱”。而“系鞋帶”可以用 “tie my shoes”或 “tie my shoes laces”?？谡Z中一般用tie my shoes 就可以了。那么tie up 是什么意思呢？
Tie something up 表示把某物捆緊，比如：
Tie up the books so we can sell them altogether.
把這些書捆起來，我們可以把他一起賣了。
所以，正確表達“等一下，我得系下鞋帶”我們可以這樣說：
Hold on a sec. I need to tie my shoes.
3. 我暫時沒有工作。
I don't have work now. (×)
這句話的意思是我現(xiàn)在沒有工作要做，意思就是我現(xiàn)在很閑。如何地道的表達“暫時沒工作”？英語中有一個詞組：between jobs. 這是個非常形象的表達，意思是處于兩個工作之間的空檔期，正在找工作或者有意愿繼續(xù)工作。比如：
I'm between jobs right now. Still haven't found anything I want to do.
我現(xiàn)在暫時沒有共做還沒有找到自己想做的工作。
所以，正確表達“我暫時沒有工作”我們可以說：
I’m between jobs at the moment.
4. 你知道還要多久嗎？
Do you know how long will it take? (×)
除了用do you know來表示“你知道”，還可以用any idea…?需要注意的是，這兩個句子都包含名詞性從句，這個從句應(yīng)該用陳述句的語序。所以正確的表達是：
Any idea how much longer this is gonna take?
Do you know how long this is gonna take?
5. 我得順便去趟藥店。
I have to drop by to go to the drugstore. (×)
這句話哪里不對呢，這就犯了中式英語的錯誤，drop by后面可以直接跟地名，如：
Drop by a place
Stop by a place
Swing by a place
都可以表示順便去某某地方。直接說，drop by the drugstore就可以了。那么這句話我們可以說：
I need to swing by the drugstore.
I've got to drop by the drugstore.
I gotta stop by the pharmacy.
6. 我也這么想。
I think so. (×)
“I think so”意思是我認為某事應(yīng)該是真的，但又不是很確定，中文可以翻譯成：我覺得是的，或者可能是吧。
使用場景：
A: Is she married?
B: I think so.
她結(jié)婚了嗎？
應(yīng)該結(jié)了吧。
或者：
A: Is it a good idea?
B: I think so.
這個想法好嗎？
我覺得挺好的。
那么“我也這么想?！蔽覀兛梢栽趺凑f呢：
I had the same thought.
I thought the same thing.
That's what I was thinking too.
That's what I thought too.
That makes two of us.
