四級(jí)詞匯講解:
本句的賓語是直接引語。在引用語中，that引導(dǎo)表語從句;who引導(dǎo)定語從句，修飾adults ;how引導(dǎo)recognize的賓語從句。
本句中有兩個(gè)issue，其中前者為名詞，意為“事件;問題”。如:
The leadership of the movement are in agreement on this issue.這一運(yùn)動(dòng)的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)層對(duì)這個(gè)問題的看法一致。
后者為動(dòng)詞，意為“發(fā)行;頒發(fā)”。如:
Banknotes of this design were first issued 10 years ago.這種圖案的鈔票是10年前首次發(fā)行的。
英語四級(jí)考點(diǎn)歸納:
complex, complicated, intricate, involved都可以表示“復(fù)雜的”，四者的區(qū)別在于:
※ complex指組成某種機(jī)器的零件、構(gòu)成某件事的因素或構(gòu)成數(shù)學(xué)題的元素不僅很多，而且.相互之間的關(guān)系或相互的作用也令人眼花繚亂，只有學(xué)識(shí)深的人或具有專門知識(shí)的人才能處理。如:
Justice is part of the complex machinery of the law.正義是復(fù)雜的法律機(jī)器的一部分。
※ complicated包含complex的含義，但更強(qiáng)調(diào)復(fù)雜得難以解釋或理解。如:
The apparatus thus described, however, records only the horizontal component of the wave movement, which is, in fact, much more complicated，然而，儀器的如此描畫只記錄下波運(yùn)動(dòng)的水平部分，而事實(shí)上波的運(yùn)動(dòng)要復(fù)雜得多。
※ intricate指交織在一起的眾多因素很難理出頭緒來。如:
The child was perplexed by the intricate plot of the story.這孩子被那頭緒紛繁的故事弄得迷惑不解。
※ involved指許多事物或事物的關(guān)系盤根錯(cuò)節(jié)。如:
These are involved financial affairs.這是些錯(cuò)綜復(fù)雜的金融事務(wù)。
